If you are lucky, you will find a turtle egg in your backpack.
Craft a incubator (requires carpenter skill) http://www.uoguide.com/An_Incubator
lockdown incubator in house
place egg in incubator
egg must stay moist
every 24 hours pour water on egg to keep moist
will take 3 or 4 days for egg to fully mature
after mature, crack egg and tame turtle
